The Story Behind Mummas Mane

It all started at a young age, when Alisha’s mum first introduced her to the tradition of hair oiling. While the ritual was rooted in care and love, the reality at school was less kind. Teased for the scent and appearance of oil in her hair, Alisha soon grew reluctant to oil regularly—reserving it only for school holidays.

As the years passed, that childhood discomfort turned into curiosity. Alisha began experimenting with different oils, learning how to blend them to suit her hair’s changing needs. From dealing with PCOS-related hair loss to the intense shedding that followed childbirth, she leaned into her roots—literally and figuratively—and created powerful, personalised blends to restore her hair and her confidence.

And that’s where Mummas Mane was born. A brand inspired by tradition, elevated by experience, and lovingly created to help others through their own hair journeys—whether you're facing postpartum changes, hormonal imbalances, or simply looking to revive and nourish your hair.
